The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag

cred.

Since I haven't done one in a little while, I thought it would be fun to do a tag. While I was searching for a good one I stumbled upon this little gem. Hope you enjoy!

1. Name a beauty regime that you rarely do?
If you've followed my blog for a while now, you know I don't wear foundation and concealer. I don't have anything against either and, in fact, I want to start experimenting with them. However, every time I walk up to a makeup counter the employees gush about how clear my skin and tell me how much I "don't need it." So, I usually end up walking out without it. Pity.

2. Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
Nah. I honestly don't care. The only time I ever think about it is the few times my friends ask me to do their makeup. It's kind of like how people are comfortable in messy rooms until guests are actually coming over.

3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
Unfortunately, I can last a while. Slight chips don't bother me but when every nail looks like a situation, I'm internally cringing all day...well, until I can find time to fix it.

4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty or nail polish product even if you need it? (i.e purchasing a new topcoat, or a new foundation etc.)
Until my next payday.

5. What is your worst beauty habit?
I suppose it would be my nail maintenance...or lack thereof.

6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
School work. Sorry.

7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready until the last minute or not?
Always, but it's never intentional. I like to listen to music to get me excited to go out and I usually lose track of time!

8. Can you commit to spending bans?
Without spending bans I wouldn't have a roof over my head so, there's that.

9. How organized is your makeup and nail polish collection?
Honestly it's not bad. I have two makeup bags: one at home and one for my purse. Everything has its place. The only thing I can't control that bothers me is the few products whose caps don't want to stay on. Like why?!

10. What is the longest amount of time you have gone without writing a blog post?
Wow this question sucks. Could we just chalk it up to a really long time? Great.

Want to do this tag too? Then I tag all of YOU! The rules are simple.

Rules:
1. You must copy and paste these 'rules' onto your post when you write it, it doesn't take long!.
2. You must state that this tag was created by  The Beau Bow and provide a link.
3. You must thank the person who tagged you at the start of your post (link their blog as well) -follow them if you're feeling nice!, and then at the end of your post state who you tag, and then comment on their blog on their latest post to let them know you tagged them, and link your post so they can see what to do.
4. Title this post 'The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger TAG' so everyone knows what it is about.
5. Have fun! :)

Spring Freebies!

Although the calendar says spring began a few weeks ago, in my opinion spring doesn't begin until the east coast has seven consistent days with the temperature over 50 degrees. However, I realize some of my readers have already been enjoying the spring sunshine so to welcome the season with open arms I've designed a few iPhone wallpapers! My hope is that our electronic optimism will finally bring us in the Northeast some much deserved warm weather. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

The simplest way to download these wallpapers would be to do it straight from your iPhone. Click one (or all) of the links above for the image you would like to use as your wallpaper. Next, press and hold the image and select 'Save Image.' From there you can simply make the saved image your wallpaper via your phone settings. You're done!

I hope you enjoy this little spring giveaway! If you want to see more of this, let me know in the comments below.

March Favorites 2014

If it isn't pretty clear already, I've decided to slightly change the format of my monthly favorites. Let me know what you think about the new style in the comments below!

Beauty | Thanks to my boyfriend, not only did I get to travel to New York a couple weekends ago, but I also got my first MAC lipstick! For my fellow beauty lovers and makeup hoarders, I'm sure you can recall the time you bought your first MAC lipstick. If not, let me tell you, it's a pretty good feeling. I always said that I would start my collection and now, I finally have. I can't wait to continue adding even more.

Fashion | I just bought this turtleneck not too long ago (as in this past Saturday), but I already know I'm going to wear this thing to death. It's lightweight so it's still appropriate to wear as the weather warms up. I've wanted to add a turtleneck to my wardrobe for a little while now. There's something about the neckline, or lack thereof, that oozes sophistication. I know I'm going to get a ton of use out of it.

Accessories | Shoutout to my friend Rachel for this birthday gift! This play on the classic gold chain is so cute and unique. The extra leather detail makes this piece really stand out and I absolutely love it! There's nothing more that needs to be said about it honestly.

Techie | As I said before, I was recently in New York, but I've also found myself in need in some directional assistance in Philadelphia as well. The Transit app seriously saved my life...on more than one occasion. What's great is that it works in every major city, which is perfect for someone like me who bounces between New York, Philadelphia, and DC pretty frequently. It combines multiple apps in one, which just leaves space for me to download more music.

Song | Speaking of music, Grown Woman by Beyoncé has been my official "I'm finally 21" anthem. It was the first song I listened to on my birthday (followed appropriately by Drunk in Love). Needless to say, this song never fails to put a smile on my face. Ironically enough, Beyoncé has surprised us yet again today and released a new version of the Grown Woman music video! The link is below. You're welcome.

Munchies | Saxbys has been my savior this semester. More specifically, their speciality drink, British Islander, has saved my sanity on many occasions. It's literally the perfect blend for me. Whether you're a coffee drinker or not, Saxbys has options that will appeal to anyone. If you have one near you and haven't tried it yet, what on Earth are you waiting for?! Leave your computer and go now...yes now.

Tips & Tricks Tuesday | How to be a Bad Blogger

For today's tips and tricks, I only have one tip: don't blog consistently. I want to apologize to all of you for my clear lack of content over the past month. To put it simply, March has been quite the roller coaster ride for me. Instead of boring you with the lows, I'll just share the biggest high. I turned 21 last month! Honestly it would be a much bigger deal for me if I actually had an ID that I could use, but again, that's a story for another time.

I didn't have much to say besides I'm sorry for neglecting all of you. I've been super busy contributing to two other blogs, but that doesn't mean that my own blog, my baby, should slip through the cracks. I promise the rest of this year will bring much more regular and interactive content. Going forward, I want you all to be apart of the story I tell. I have a pretty exciting project coming up that I will definitely need your help with, so stay tuned! Thanks for all of your support thus far.

Love,
Jordan
